AfricaAdapt Climate Change Symposium 2011
IPC-IG researcher participates in Climate Change Symposium 2011
Addis Ababa, 10 march 2011 – Reconciling participation and benefits-sharing – Policy Implications for how Africa adapts to climate change will be one of the themes presented at the AfricaAdapt Climate Change Symposium 2011, to be held between 9-11 March 2011 in Ethiopia. IPC-IG‘s researcher and coordinator of the Rural and Sustainable Development team, Ms. Leisa Perch, was invited to discuss how participation and benefit-sharing could be included into climate change policy frameworks, as she proposes, “through a critical review of the existing normative and operational frameworks as well as select policy instruments, the extent and reach of current efforts are broadly analyzed”.
